Popular Tourist Corners
When people travel the world over, many large tourist attractions bring flocks of tourists, but usually the small, out-of-the-way corners hold the best memories. Knowing where to find these corners makes a vacation or trip worth remembering.
Try a new restaurant or bar in a foreign city. Do not pick the one that looks the most familiar or has your native language. You never know when that little place might make the best margarita or Irish coffee, or even the best steamed crab ever. The worst thing that could happen is that you have to leave because nothing looks appealing. You still might want to avoid the water though.
Strike up a conversation with a stranger on a bus or in a public place. As long as you have even the most rudimentary grasp of a language, a stranger usually does his or her best to communicate, and is probably flattered that someone shows interest in his or her language or culture.
